Arriving and feeling at home - that's how our design interns feel since they find a shared flat when they start their internship at WILDDESIGN. Getting your bearings in a foreign metropolis - be it Shanghai or the Ruhr region - is so much easier, explains Maren Reinecke, who did an internship in Shanghai in 2010.

What we have been practising successfully in China for the fourth year now, we have finally realized in Gelsenkirchen: Our design interns from all over the world have a temporary home in the Ruhr area for 3-6 months - in our Ruhr-WG. And those who do well with us also come back to our team after graduation. To sum up: our shared flats provide something of a "wild" family feeling . Just ask the design interns Anurag Sarda from Pune/India, Steffi Krinke from Coburg and Huy Mingh from Cologne, the first residents in the Ruhr shared flat.
