December 2008 | How does someone come up with the idea of refining a cooking pot with 738 grams of pure gold and 13 carats of diamonds and offering it for sale at a price of more than a few hundred thousand euros? Not so far-fetched, really: WILDDESIGN Shanghai customer Fissler, world-famous for its top-quality cookware, comes from the small town of Idar-Oberstein, known for its gemstone and jewelry manufactories. Just the right product for the -> Top-Essence-Beijing 2008the luxury trade fair in China - and a great challenge for our team in Shanghai.

Our designers certainly had the most fun designing and producing the -> packaging and event advertising for the event. The result is impressive: Small crystals on the card represent the diamond trimming on the pot lid. A lot of work, but the result speaks for itself. WILDDESIGN-Shanghai also designed the press kit and information flyers for the "Diamond Pot" launch in the Chinese market and, of course, the concept for the -> exhibition stand.

During the premiere night, Fissler staged a fashion show and sent beautiful models onto the catwalk to show off the complete Fissler range of pots and pans, including designer handbags. A sense of humor and the use of emotional images are often the key to attracting attention in China.

The question is: will anyone buy the "Diamond Pot"? If you do, be prepared for it to be delivered in a Rolls-Royce by two bodyguards and inaugurated in style at your home: in the person of a star chef from Europe who will cook a dinner for 20 of your best friends in the Diamond Pot.
