Looking back on almost 5 years of continuous cooperation with TROTEC, we can now say that TROTEC is certainly the most dynamic of all our customers. And that we have rarely been challenged in so many different areas as with this extremely successful company from Heinsberg in the Rhineland.
In view of the huge product portfolio that TROTEC had built up over the last 15 years around the concept of construction drying and climate conditioning, it was actually not easy for us to get a comprehensive picture of the task ahead of us in the summer of 2010. So we started by redesigning the first series and developing new hand-held measuring devices before we realized how quickly and radically the changes would take place.

Inthe collaboration between the external design agency and the internal development department, the development processes were then gradually coordinated and synchronized so that, on the one hand, the high rate of innovation could be maintained and, on the other, a uniform design signature could be created step by step.
This can certainly be described as the TROTEC design strategy: through the rapid succession of similar project tasks and ever shorter iteration steps, a routine product development process has emerged that is extremely effective and closely aligned with the customer and the market.
In the typical TROTEC design in line with the slogan TROTEC - AT WORK. all new TROTEC products are reduced to the essentials. Whether in the typical black and yellow of the construction site appliances or in the more elegant line of the Value Protection Range, TROTEC appliances stand out in the market and are immediately recognizable.

Stable brand background
Dynamism needs a stable foundation
Thecollaboration in the product design area shaped the external appearance so strongly that the need for a revision and modernization of the TROTEC brand arose. At the beginning of 2014, we were also able to take on this task and designed a strong appearance under the claim TROTEC - AT WORK.
We consistently placed the simplified and stabilized TROTEC logo against the background of CONCRETE - or rather exposed concrete. An equally aesthetic and meaningful statement. This is about tangible things, about work, order, space and a clear attitude.
We also brought this clear attitude to the brand image in terms of language. Starting with the slogan "at work", we designed all top-level messages for the brand and wrote them in a consistent tonality.
Easy to roll out on concrete
Theimplementation in the various online and offline media, the so-called roll-out in a total of 18 foreign languages, in flyers, brochures and catalogs is carried out continuously in cooperation with the TROTEC in-house graphics team and is increasingly becoming a pure in-house task. The basis for the extremely dynamic application of the design principles here too is a detailed corporate design manual.
The trade fair concept developed to match the brand image is now being adapted in-house at TROTEC for the numerous exhibitions and trade fairs.

Trotec CI Manual
A company with such dynamic operations cannot be managed without design guidelines. The new brand appearance now has a firm foundation of design rules that enable and facilitate the daily application of the new TROTEC design.
The design essentials are described and their backgrounds explained on around 100 pages covering all areas. We attach great importance to the fact that a CI manual is not an automatically applicable algorithm, but leaves enough leeway so that the graphic designers can solve their daily challenges independently.

TROTEC's full power can be seen on the internet and in social media. TROTEC relies on online media more than almost any other company of its size, and a consistent brand image is one of the most important tasks for us as a design agency.
In this respect, we see the TROTEC web as a living organism that is constantly evolving and has to react to current or long-term trends.
