July 2011 | For our customer MBR Optical Systems GmbH + Co KG, we have developed the product design of the new Digiclip and optimized it in terms of both usability and injection moulding production. Digiclip is a sensor that was developed as an accessory for the worldwide unique non-invasive and quantitative hemoglobin measurement using the haemospect® measuring device to make its use even easier, safer and more precise.

After many ergonomic tests using simple handling models, our design team (Marc Ruta, Quan Shan and Milan Marovac) developed the optimum solution: an innovative combination of a hard and soft plastic shell. The soft, light-tight finger shell adapts perfectly to different finger sizes, while the hard plastic shell serves as a quick-release clip connection to the sensor head. The sensor head transmits the measurement data to the reader via a fiber optic cable.
