Institut Pasteuer Shanghai
Project task
March 2011 | The "Institut Pasteur of Shanghai - Chinese Academy of Sciences (IPS-CAS)" is a research institution founded jointly by the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the city of Shanghai and the "Institut Pasteur" in France. The institute is dedicated to the questions and problems of public health in China and the entire Asian region.
IPS-CAS is working towards becoming a world-class center for research and teaching in the areas of major infectious diseases.
To mark the 50th anniversary of successful diplomatic relations between China and France and in honor of its own 10th anniversary, IPS-CAS hosted a high-level symposium on "Research on Infectious Diseases in a Globalized World", which highlighted the state of current research on infectious diseases.
WILDDESIGN was asked to create the overall appearance of the event and the design for this symposium and to develop communication materials to match.

Design process
Ourdesign solution followed an optimized process flow with the highest quality control from the development and realization of the design concept to the final production. In our design concept, we wanted to interpret the themes of the symposium graphically. We decided to work with dynamically connected lines and circles. Shapes that symbolize both the networked world and the structures of bacteria.
The color blue was chosen as the main color scheme to harmonize with the logo and graphic identity of IPS-CAS. WILDDESIGN used its extensive network of suppliers for the final print production.
Design result
Theend result included an information package consisting of event programs, anniversary brochures and badges for more than 200 guests from Asia and Europe; roll-up posters and banners were also developed and displayed at the venue.
Both the design and the quality of the execution received positive feedback from IPS-CAS and the event participants.
