First Gelsenkirchen, then Shanghai, and now - Gummersbach of all places? No April Fool's joke - expansion doesn't just take place on a megacity scale, but wherever we are needed.

With the new branch office in tranquil Gummersbach, WILDDESIGN has taken another important step towards expanding its engineering expertise. This is because the regions of the Oberbergisch and Märkisch districts have strong, established business locations with numerous manufacturing companies in the plastics and metal sectors, and therefore offer good opportunities for technically oriented new product developments.

A long-standing collaboration with product developer and technical consultant Rüdiger Gelfarth has resulted in the creation of a new branch office in recent weeks. As Gelfarth's new office neighbor, our project manager Milan Marovac has been working together with the engineer on technically demanding design tasks since March 1. The new colleagues already know each other from their time together at a well-known local company - this is how the contact between WILDDESIGN and Rüdiger Gelfarth came about in 2010.

"The cooperation holds interesting potential, as gelfarth & partner has already worked with numerous companies in the region. The combination of design and engineering offers enormous added value for local companies," says industrial designer Milan Marovac. Rüdiger Gelfarth is therefore happy to contribute his knowledge: he acts as a technical advisor in the collaboration and is confident that he can develop a concept with WILDDESIGN based on the motto "design and engineering from a single source". The collaboration with the design agency from Gelsenkirchen also gives him access to the medical technology sector. The initial constellation is now set to grow step by step into a competent and powerful team that, with technical expertise and the international design agency behind it, will become a permanent fixture in the region.
